About Chic and her sauce...

     I started this journey back in 2004. My parents owned a BBQ restaurant in Pilot Mountain, NC (Big John's BBQ). With Dad's health failing, I took a leave from my career at the Emergency 911 center to help the family business. My favorite food is "Wings”, so I decided to create my own sauce and add them to the menu. They were a great success! Our family restaurant was forced to close with Dad's health and me needing to return to my career. The calls for Wings and "Chic's Wing Sauce" even after we shut the doors, were crazy. My daughter convinced me to just do it, keep my career and just play with my sauce business on the side until I could retire. I started out just selling to the restaurant customers, and as time grew, so did the number of people and stores wanting my sauce. I fully retired in 2021 as an Emergency 911 Director, which gave me the opportunity of a lifetime to grow this business that I absolutely love!
